Having a clear vision is essential for setting meaningful goals that bring fulfillment and direction to life. Goals should align with a broader purpose, ensuring they contribute to long-term aspirations rather than short-term tasks. Without a structured approach, individuals may feel lost, committing to pursuits that lack personal significance. Defining a vision does not require a complex process; instead, it involves identifying what truly matters and resonates with one’s values. A well-established vision is a guiding framework, much like a blueprint for constructing a house. Without this conceptual foundation, progress becomes uncertain, and motivation diminishes. Developing realistic and achievable goals allows individuals to take control of their journey, ensuring each step contributes to a fulfilling outcome.

Goal setting is an ongoing process that involves careful assessment, motivation, and persistence. While some may assume achieving goals requires immediate answers, the key lies in visualizing success and taking responsibility for each step. Establishing significant goals across different aspects of life provides clarity, structure, and motivation to move forward. What to Expect During a Session:

Life Coaching Session:

The first session is the intake. I get a complete biopsychosocial/spiritual intake that includes strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth. (typically 2 hours)

Next, we set clear and specific goals (personal, professional, social, etc.) that are timely and measurable (SMART goals).

  • Specific (Clear definition of what you want to achieve)

  • Measurable (There will be check-ins)

  • Achievable (I cannot help you make a million dollars in a month)

  • Relevant (Is this a goal that aligns with what I want to achieve?)

  • Time-bound (There will be an end date)

We create a timeline that will help us measure your accomplishments along the way. Then, we create a coaching plan and sign a contract as to what your specific job will be (what I expect of you, methods, and actions). It will also outline my role in supporting you in achieving your goals (what you expect of me, methods, and actions). Then, we get to work! You will have tasks to complete, and I will provide encouragement and guidance to complete those tasks.

Lastly, after your goals are achieved, we will have a reflection and feedback session. We will reflect on the progress you have made and you will provide me with your ideas for my improvement. 

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Do you lack the motivation to achieve your goals?

  • Do you start something and tend not to finish it, even though you really want to?

  • Do you find yourself giving up on your goals, hopes, and dreams?

  • Do you find yourself making excuses for why you can’t do something?

  • Are you having trouble knowing where/how to start something?
